Mrs. Geneva Ann Braddy Morgan, age 88, a resident of 201 Oak Drive, Washington, died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at her home.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Washington, conducted by Rev. Danny Allen and Rev. William Braswell. Interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends following the service at the church in the Ladies' Parlor and other times at the home.

Mrs. Morgan was born in Beaufort County on June 10, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Haywood Braddy and Elizabeth Alligood Braddy. Mrs. Morgan graduated from Bath high School in 1945. She attended the Tayloe Hospital School of Nursing for three years and completed her education at the Highsmith Hospital in Fayetteville, graduating in September of 1950. Mrs. Morgan was a registered nurse and nurse practitioner at Washington Pediatrics. She retired in 1994. 

Mrs. Morgan was a member of First United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Women's Society. She was a long time member of the Beaufort County Mental Health Association.

On October 22, 1950, she married John I. Morgan, who survives.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband, John I. Morgan, Sr. of the home; and two sons, John I. Morgan, Jr. of Greenville, Richard Thomas Morgan of Washington Park.

In addition to the parents, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters
