Bobbie Irving Richardson, age 63, of Davis City, Iowa, the son of Bobbie Harland “Smokey” and LouEtta Joyce (Myers) Richardson, was born December 11, 1954, in Decatur County, Iowa. He died at his Davis City home on October 3, 2018.

Bobbie grew up in Wheeling, Illinois and graduated from Wheeling High School in 1972. He then joined the United States Army and served from March 20, 1974, until March 11, 1977. After his honorable discharge, Bobbie did mechanical work while living with Nancy and her family in Up State New York and in Texas. Bobbie moved to Davis City, Iowa in the late 1980’s and met Sharon Maxine (Nelson) Britt. They were married December 29, 1989, in Leon, Iowa. She later got sick and he took loving care of her until her death on January 28, 2005.

Bobbie always enjoyed cars and motorcycles. He worked for Larry Kester in his Davis City garage for a while.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Sharon. Survivors include his siblings, Beverly Richardson-Alvarez of Chico, California, Nancy Becker and Sam Rosa of Davis City, and Tammie Buscemi and Frank of Wheeling, Illinois; nieces and nephews; three aunts, Betty Smith and Emma and Leo Thorpe, all of Lamoni, Iowa and Ruth Smith of Ames, Iowa; stepchildren, James and Zina Britt of Davis City, Tabby and Ron Martin of Leon, Tommie and Rick Hinds of Grand River, Anna and Tony Burton of Somerset, Kentucky, and Sandra and Shannon Butler of West Plains, Missouri; and other relatives and friends.
