She was preceded in death by her parents, Maye and Graden Gilbert, brothers, Robert and Bob Gilbert, a sister, Ruby Hurley and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Paul Edmond Jackson of Davenport, two daughters, Paula Carol Dye and husband Jeff of Honaker, Mary Elizabeth Sheppard and friend Gene Whobrey of the home, a son, Jason Edmond Jackson and wife, Myra of Vansant, a grandson, Dennis Ryan O'quinn and friend Brandi Robinette of Belfast, a granddaughter, Megan Renee Rayes and husband Mazin of Mclean, VA, three great-grandchildren, Brooke Noelle O'quinn, Chloe Aleah O'quinn of Swords Creek and Tucker Reed O'quinn of Haysi and one special sister, Donna Gilbert, several brothers, a sister and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Free Christian Church with Edward Tiller and Wayne Baldwin officiating.
Burial will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens, Lebanon, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church with a song service at 7:00 p.m
