Sandra Darlene Beck, 71 of Vernon, Texas died on Monday, October 8, 2018, in Vernon, Texas.
Services will be Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Wilbarger Street Church of Christ officiating will be Dave Winn. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Sandra was born Wednesday, June 4, 1947 in Vernon, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Beck and the late Imogene Rozzell Beck. She married Allan Walter July 3, 1968 in Guymon, OK. he preceded her in death December 11, 1969 she later married Allen Stringer on March 18, 1989 in Vernon he preceded her in death April 10, 2015. She was a graduate of Vernon College Nursing program in 1976. She was a nurse for 30 years she had worked for Wilbarger General Hospital, Vernon State Hospital and for both nursing homes. She was a member of Wilbarger St. Church of Christ.
Surviving are her daughter, Carla Walter Dye & husband Robert of Vernon, TX, Step-son Jud Stringer & wife Wendy of Spring, TX. She is also survived by her three sisters, Regina Hall of Childress, TX, Linda Loter of Childress, TX and Judy Beck of Vernon, TX. Five grandchildren Nolan Dye, Ryan Dye both of Vernon, Rhett Stringer of Stringer of Spring, TX. Karoline and Madeline Stringer both of Spring, TX.
She is preceded in death by a brother Richard Beck November 17, 1991.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home.
