Guy was the son of W. T. and Francis (Latham) Sherman. He first married Mattie Collins on June 13, 1901 in Grainger County, TN. They had one son, James A. who was born abt. 1903-1905. Mattie died in 1909. He then married Jane Adkins on Sept. 9, 1909 in Grainger County. He later married Bessie Collins on Sept. 10, 1919, but he was shown as divorced in the 1930 census. Bessie was a sister of Octavia Collins Hipshire. Guy and Bessie had a daughter, Irma Lee Sherman, who was born Dec. 27, 1925. She is also buried here.
