Beverly Box, 74, of Scipio, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018, at her residence.

Born August 16, 1944, at King’s Daughters Hospital in Madison, Mrs. Box was the daughter of Wayne C. and Nora “Pearl” (Lloyd) Jackson. She married Dennis Bernard “Dennie” Box on August 29, 1964, in Kent; he preceded her in death on November 26, 2016.

Mrs. Box was a May 26, 1961 graduate of Southwestern High School in Hanover and worked for Kroger’s in Columbus. She was a member of Alert United Methodist Church in Alert and Bartholomew County Saddle Club. She enjoyed camping; horses. Mrs. Box loved God, helping others and was a prayer warrior.

She is survived by, son, Greg (Stacey) Box; daughter, Jeanine (Bill) Garcia; grandchildren, Draden Box, Zach Box, Jacob Box, Corey (Andrea) Garcia, Lori Garcia, Franklin Garcia, and Stori Garcia; great-grandchildren, Fallon Garcia, Amiila Garcia, Mira Garcia, Phoenix Eberth, Raelyn Box, and Allerice Box.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Dwayne Box; grandson, Seth Box; granddaughter, Tori Garcia; and brother, Bill Jackson.

A funeral service for Mrs. Box will be conducted at 2:00 on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Connie Barr officiating. Family and Friends may call at funeral home on Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the Bear Creek Baptist Cemetery in Jennings County.
