Larry was born on June 6, 1946, in Altus, OK, the son of Bascom Leon and Ruby Laverne (Wright) Wooten. He was united in marriage to Susan Marie Taylor on March 2006 at the Friendship Baptist Church southeast of Macon, MO. Larry was a lifelong farmer, worked cattle, ran a bulldozer, was a logger, and enjoyed visiting with his friends.
Larry is survived by his wife, Susan Wooten of the home, his mother, Ruby Wooten of Clarence, MO, two daughters, Vicky Wooten of Oak Grove, MO, Amy Coonce and her husband Mel of Blue Springs, MO, two step-daughters, Charity Washam and her husband Jerry of Moberly, MO, Janetta Crane of Savannah, MO, ten grandchildren, Brittany, Kylie, Lydia, Dylon, Abigail, Bethany, Reed, Ethan, Jenna, and Dakota, two brothers, Robert Wooten and Randy Wooten, three sisters, Karen Maupin, Carol Baker, and Donna Maupin, and serval cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, one daughter, Monica Ann, and one grandson, Hunter Dean.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, October 11, 2018, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO, with Rev. Robert Kroff officiating. Burial will be in the Woodville Cemetery in Woodville, MO. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm, at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund.
