Donna Lynn Matheny, 56, of Afton, passed away on October 2, 2018 in the comfort of her home. Lynn was born in North Carolina to Don and Judy Reep on November 12, 1961.

She went to school in the town of Maiden, NC. She was married to Edwin Matheny in April of 1984.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Ed; her son, Ronald and his wife, Amber; sister, Joy; brothers, Donald, Eddie and Timmy Reep; and her grandchildren, Brie, Riley and Ronald IV.

Lynn enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg, TN. She enjoyed visiting the Christ museum and shopping at the local shops of downtown Gatlinburg. Lynn was a loving wife, mother and Mimi. Her son and grandchildren were the light of her life.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Holy Cross Episcopal Church Cemetery, 2523 Craigs Store Rd., Afton, with Father Tony Andres officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to Dr. Crimaldi, Dr. Romano, Dr. Charles Cole and all the nurses and staff at the Martha Jefferson Infusion Center.

Memorial donations in Lynn’s name may be made to Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, c/o Infusion Center, 500 Martha Jefferson Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22911. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
