Clara Faye Ellis, age 88, of Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at her home. She was born March 1, 1930 in Wilkes County to Arthur Glenn and Bessie Virginia Shepherd McNeil. Clara was a member of Hinshaw Baptist Church and previously manager with Sky City and then worked at WalMart until she retired. Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ralph, Arville, Roy and Tyre; and sisters, Irene and Helen.

Surviving are her sons, Ronald Ellis and wife Patricia, David Ellis all of Wilkesboro; grandson, Dylan Ellis of Wilkesboro; and brother, Conrad McNeil of Wilkesboro.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sherrill Wellborn and Rev. Dwayne Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 12:00 until 1:00 on Wednesday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
