William George "G" Blair, 90, was born on March 2, 1931, in Carthage to the late Austin Parker and Mary Ruth Chamness Blair. He graduated from Carthage High School in 1948, where he ran track and played football. Mr. Blair played football for Panola College, Tulane University, and transferred to Texas A&M University where he lettered 2 years in football, was a member of the Letterman's Association, and served in the ROTC program. He married Judith Sturgeon, celebrating 33 years together. He worked for Champlin Petroleum / Union Pacific 35 35 years. He later owned and operated B&B Aluminum and Locksmith. He was also preceded in death by the mother of his son Brad, Berneice Blair.
