Anne R. (Guardino) Bennett, 97, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday at the Cottages at Garden Grove in Cicero. Anne was born in Syracuse and worked as a secretary at General Electric for many years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Pat, and dining in different restaurants and casinos. She was also an avid reader, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as they grew up.
She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Margaret Guardino; her husband, Pat Bennett; daughter, Patricia Kruttschnitt, and her brother, Joseph M. Guardino. Anne is survived by her grandchildren, Eric (Kristina) Kruttschnitt and Laura (Justin) Ray; three great-grandchildren, Kaylin VanAuken, Madelyn Kruttschnitt and Emily Ray; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 11 am to 1 pm, followed by a funeral service in celebration of Anne's life at 1 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.), North Syracuse. Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anne's memory may be made to St. Rose of Lima Church.
