Funeral services for Johnny R. Parham age 84 of Olla will be held 2:00 PM Sunday October 7, 2018 from the Olla chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Denver McBroom officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodland Cemetery in Jena. Visitation will be on Sunday October 7, 2018 from 11:00 AM until time of service.

Johnny Robert Parham was born on November 1, 1933 at Olla, LA to the union of his parents James Ernest Parham and Etta Mae McDow Parham and he passed from this life on Friday October 5, 2018 following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his nephew: Mark LeBlanc and his sister Ernestine Hodges. He was a United States Army Veteran and was a millwright with Louisiana Pacific.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are his beloved wife: Doris Dearmon Parham of Olla; two sons: James Parham of Charleston, South Carolina and Michael Parham of Alexandria; his daughter Kristy Parham of Olla; his granddaughter: Jamie Barker(Justin)of Belah, great-grand-daughters: Madison Barker and Charlie Beth Barker both of Belah; and his niece Cyndi Tompkins of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Williams, Timmy Duke, David Cotten, Clay Cotten, Justin Barker and Ken Volentine. Honorary pallbearers are Kim Taylor, Brad Magee and Ronnie Cruse.

In lieu of flowers the Parham family requests memorials to the Alzheimers Association.
