Louisville - Walter R. Reed, Jr., 87, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his home. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. The family will be hosting a memorial gathering to celebrate his life at his home on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m., 4408 Potts Road, Louisville, KY 40299.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ella; one son, Richard Travis Reed; and his parents, Walter and Lucille Reed, Sr. Walter is survived by a daughter, Debbie Dickey (Jesse); one brother, Donnie Reed; sister, Betty Browning; Five Grandchildren, Jennifer Elwell, Olivia Reed, Kristen Barley, Travis Reed, and Jessica McPherson; along with eight great grandchildren. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2018 at Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
