James Arthur White, age 91, of Gainesville, Texas, formerly of Coppell, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at River Valley Nursing Center in Gainesville. He was born February 17, 1922 in Abbott, Texas to John Arthur and Minnie E. Gough White. He grew up in Krum, Texas and attended Krum Schools. He married Ruth Lavada Tubbs on May 17, 1947 in Denton, Texas and she died May 18, 2012. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone where he was an Installer. Mr. White is survived by a son, Gary S. White of Denver, Colorado; one grandchild, Jason Jacob White; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas with Paul Meine, officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.mulkeymassondenton.com
