Sandra Mary Wadsworth was born on May 7, 1947 in Willmar, the daughter of Jack and Jean (Gladysz) Wadsworth. She was baptized at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Regal. She attended country grade school in District # 98 and NL-S High School, graduating in 1965. She continued her education at St. Benedicts and the U of M, graduating in 1969 with a degree in teaching and home economics. She made her home in Burnsville and spent her entire teaching career in New Prague until her retirement in 2005.

Sandra enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, traveling the world, theater and sewing, having made many of her own clothes. She will be remembered by her family for her independence and strength. She was known as a great cook who was always looking for new recipes to share. Her family's request on the holidays was always her "dirt dessert".
