JoAnn McKinney, 67, of De Leon, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018.
She was born March 23, 1951, in Matador, Texas to Robert Ralph Hasty and Thelma Beatrice Chambliss Hasty.
JoAnn married Lanny Jack McKinney May 21, 1990.

It was the year 1990 when JoAnn joined the community of De Leon, moving from the city of Irving. From the time she arrived to the day she departed, she was proud to serve her community at Hwy 6 Café and its predecessor, LaDon Restaurant. While there were many things she enjoyed doing in life, including reading, solving crossword puzzles, and binge-watching Wheel of Fortune, few things brought her greater joy than doing daily battle with that rowdy gang of coffee drinkers that frequent Hwy 6.

She is survived by her sons, Tyler McKinney, Robert Shelton, Brandon Shelton, Lance McKinney, and Billy McKinney; daughters, Melissa Burch, Lanetta Varner, and Tresa Jean Gamble; grandchildren, Kolby, Hannah, Erika, Skylar, Jamie, Hailey, Reagan and Riley; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family whom she all loved dearly.

JoAnn was preceded in death by husband, Lanny Jack McKinney in 2004 parents, Robert and Thelma Hasty; brothers, Michael Hasty and Fred Hasty; and mother-in-law, Jean McCormick.
