James Bernard “Barney‘ Kearney Jr. passed away suddenly on July 2, 2018 in Fort Collins, Colorado.

He was born, July 6, 1953 in Cadillac, Mich. to James Bernard and Patricia (Corcoran) Kearney Sr. He graduated from Cadillac High School and completed his education with a Master’s degree in International political science at Central Michigan University. On June 17, 1972 he married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Hogberg. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, three children and grandchildren. 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Additionally, he leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends and extended family to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Patricia; his father-in-law, mother-in-law Gordon Devere and Donna Marie (Forquer) Hogberg, and brother-in-law, Gordon Dennis Hogberg.
A celebration of his life was held Saturday, July 7, 2018 in Fort Collins, Colo.
