Jamie graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1982. He was a heavy equipment operator for the City of Hutchinson for 18 years. Jamie was a member of CrossPoint Church, Hutchinson, and SEIU Local 513. He loved deer hunting, fishing, and photography.
In 1988, Jamie married Tammy Stratton. They later divorced. On August 6, 2010, he married Diana K. Foust in Hutchinson. She survives.
Also surviving are: daughter, Tegan Barrett, Los Angeles, CA; stepdaughters, Jennifer Stoll and Amy Byers (Jason), Hutchinson; stepson, Matthew Stoll (Tresnie), Hutchinson; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Lillyann, Brayden, Jaxson, Aubrey, Messiah, and Laila; brother, David Barrett (Nancy), Brewer, Maine; sister, Judy Alley (Phil), Mechanic Falls, Maine; father-in-law, Larry Foust, Hutchinson; and many nieces and nephews.
Jamie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Richard Barrett.
Celebration of Life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at The Father’s House, 1505 E. 20th Ave., Hutchinson, with Bishop Quintin Moore officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday through Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
