Dennis spent much of his life in Indiana where he worked at several jobs, including working as a pastry chef in a donut shop. In 1992 he moved from Indiana to Paris, Illinois where he became very active with the Lake Ridge Christian Church. His involvement with the church allowed him to make a mission trip to Mexico; as well as help coach the churches basketball team. Dennis loved to fish and be near the water. Due to failing health, Dennis moved from Illinois to Davis to be near his sister, Donna Ottersen.
Survivors include two sisters, Donna B. Ottersen of Davis and Charlotte Pontious of Lakefield, Indiana; one brother, David Wallace of South Bend, Indiana; as well as two nieces and one nephew, Pete Ottersen of Davis.
No local services are scheduled at this time. Cremation has taken place.
