Elizabeth H. Sanderson, 91, died Friday morning at Emmanuel Nursing and Rehab at Maria Joseph Manor, Danville, where she had resided since January 2002. Mrs Sanderson moved to Danville in 1983 from Shirley, Mass., where she had resided for 10 years. She was born July 14, 1913, in Danville, a daughter of the late Vitus V. and louise (Jameson) Haidacher.

She graduated from Danville High in 1931 and Susquehanna University with a Bachelor of Science degree in music in 1935. She taught music in the Trevorton schools for 7 1/2 years before enlisting in the United States Army Air Corps in 1943 and became a first lieutenant during World War II. After the war, she attended Carnegie Tech.

She was a member of Mahoning Presbyterian Church, Danville, where she served as elder and deaconess. Since the age of 13, she was an organist for various churches in the area.

Mrs. Sanderson was preceded in death by one brother, Jameson Haidacher in 1978.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery, Danville, with her pastor officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the Montour County Veterans Assn.
