Her Legacy… Heather Rene Sanders was born June 19, 1984 in Oroville, CA to Larry and Rebecca Sanders. Heather lost her fight with Leukemia at UC Davis Medical Center on September 29, 2018. Heather loved her family, music, baking, being in charge, she was sassy, stubborn, fearless and oh so hard headed, it was her way or the highway and her laugh was contagious. She loved tootsie rolls and that is how she got the nickname Toots. Heather graduated Las Plumas High School Class of 2002. Heather worked for Oroville Sports Club, Oroville Motors and Butte County Office of Education.

Her Family… Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children Adrian and Isabel Melchor of Oroville, CA. Heather is also survived by her parents Larry Sanders, Rebecca Sanders and John Hague, sister Melissa Medrano and husband Elias, sister Tracy Thomas, brother Matt Sanders and wife Alicia, grandparents Orval Sanders of Oroville, Jerry Kirk of Redding, CA, uncles Gary and James Kirk, Troy Sanders, aunt Kim Dollar, five amazing nieces and three awesome nephews all of Oroville, CA and many family, cousins, best friends and loved ones. Heather is preceded in death by her grandmothers Mary Leavell and Patricia Sanders, her uncles Houston and Jerry Sanders.

Her Farewell Service… Graveside Services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd Oroville. Family, friends and loved ones whose lives Heather (Toots) touched are invited to reminisce, grieve and support each other at Heather’s celebration of life 3:00 – 7:00 at Palermo Grange 7600 Irwin Ave, Palermo 95968 following the Graveside. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Leukemia Foundation at AllBloodCancers.org Arrangements are entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
