Bryan Everett Douglas Perry was born in Portland, Oregon on April 7, 1985 and died in Oregon City, Oregon on November 4, 2016. Bryan is a unique soul with an amazing ability to touch the lives of others. He was known for his fortitude and never backed down from something he believed in or felt was important. Bryan was incredibly loyal and would willingly stand up for the people he loved and cared about. Anyone who knew Bryan would agree that he had heart. Bryan loved to make people laugh and enjoy life. He was a jokester and prankster in its truest form. He had a way of making things fun and people loved being with him. Bryan found great joy when fishing with his Grandpa Merlin at the coast in Brookings, Oregon. They spent many summers together on the ocean throughout Bryan's life.

Bryan was a gunner in an infantry unit of the U.S. Army during the Operation Iraqi Freedom. He spent his 18th birthday in a convoy from Kuwait to Baghdad where many lives were lost. Bryan heroically fought until he was injured in September 2003 and was honorably discharged with the Purple Heart Medal of Honor.

Bryan was a gifted poet and had many things he wanted to do in life. He had plans to return to school to become a welder. He wanted to be a father and spent his last few days on this planet very much in love. His tragic death will impact all those who loved him so much.

A memorial service to honor Bryan will be held at Portland's Mt. Tabor Park in the covered area at 2PM on Saturday 11/26/2016. All are encouraged to share at this informal, love-filled event. [This will be a smoke free, alcohol free and drug free event. Any persons exhibiting signs of intoxication will be escorted from the premises. Thank you!]
