Everett "Junior" Galen Green was born September 24th, 1929 to parents Everett and Fern Green in White River, SD. He died at the age of 89 on Tuesday, October 3, 2018.
Junior spent his whole life in the White River area. He graduated high school there and helped his dad with the ranch. He spend some of his free time taking pictures of the horses on the surrounding hills, and evidently, some free time with a good looking girl called Aureline Rohloff, for he married her on May 20, 1949. They had five children: Bernie, Cindy, Tony, Vicky and Cherry.
Junior remained a rancher all his life. He rode bucking horses for a awhile in the hometown area rodeos, but decided that sport was too hard on his bones. Later on, he bought a team of horses and a covered wagon and rode in many wagon trains and Frontier Days parades. The grandkids were also given quite a few hay rides. When hitching up the team got a little hard for him, he changed his interest to the pitch games that were played in town on Tuesday nights.
Junior is survived by his wife Aureline of White River; three children, Tony (Connie) Green of White River, Vicky Hovey of Murdo, and Cherry Comp of Presho; three brothers, Gene Green of White River, Bob Green of Bellingham, WA, and Alan Green of Valentine, NE; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents Everett and Fern Green, his son Bernie, his daughter Cindy, his three sisters Marguerite Oyler, Darlene Hutchinson, and Janette Cline, two sons-in-law Bill Comp and Alvin Hovey, and a brother-in-law Joe Oyler.

Funeral service for Everett Green age 89 of White River will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9th at 11:00 AM at the White River Community Event Center in White River. Burial will follow at the White River Cemetery.
