Carol Sue Dennis, 77, a devoted, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away October 3, after a short battle with cancer.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at White’s Funeral Home, 401 North Main Street, Springtown, Texas 76082.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children, Orthopedics, Shreveport, LA.
Carol Sue was born August, 3, 1941, to Fletcher and Hermyne Doyle. She graduated from W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos, Texas. She married the love of her life, Nodell, in 1965, and they spent 50 beautiful years together. Carol Sue taught elementary school for many years in Arkansas, Texas and Missouri. She also partnered with Nodell in the ministry, a beautiful example of a caring and supportive pastor’s wife. Our mom was the epitome of a servant’s heart and the definition of a mother’s love.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jason Remington and Grace Hospice for care, friendship, and support in this journey. Special and loving thanks to Christie Smith, Beth Wright, and Lisa Talementese for providing exceptional and loving care and support to our mom and to our entire family on this journey. Dearest thanks to mom’s “posse” of friends that made her life so much more enjoyable.
Carol Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nodell; granddaughter, Summer Clark; and grandson, Cody Parrick.
Survivors: daughters, Jan Clark and husband, Todd, of Bristow, Oklahoma, and Julie Parrick and husband, David, of Depew, Oklahoma; son-in-law, Len Winter; sister, Kay Shea; brother, James Doyle; grandchildren, Brandon Clark, Brett Winter, Alex Winter, Avery Clark, and Georgia Rose Parrick; and loving nieces and nephews.
