Margaret Evelyn Teague Malone, 85, widow of William Haskell “Hack” Malone, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Abbeville Area Medical Center. Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Johnny and Mozelle Jenkins Teague. She was a long time member of West Main Street Church of God, where from age 13, she was the pianist for over 60 years. She was retired from The Burton Center. Mrs. Malone loved baking and was the “recycling queen”. Her ministry was caring for and feeding her friends and neighbors. Surviving are: two sons, Rabbi William (Kathy) Malone of Colorado Springs CO., and Wade Malone of Ware Shoals, her daughter, Wendy (Joe) McCall of Ware Shoals, five grandchildren, Blake (Aly) Malone, Katie (Collin) Weeks, Patrick Malone, Meaghan (Lee) Weaver and Caleb McCall and three great-grandchildren, Evie Malone, Natalee Weaver, and Hazel Weeks, a step-brother, Nicky (Jean) McKinnon of Anderson, and two half sisters, Deiadra (Olin) Gambrell of Batesburg and Arlene Teague of NC. Mrs. Malone is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother.
