Mrs. Greene, born in Richmond County, NC; was the daughter of the late Hilliard and Pearl Lee Chavis and the widow of Joe Greene. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Harvey Chavis and Thomas Chavis; sisters, Betty Chavis Dunn and Evelyn Liles.

She was a member of Cordova United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
