Bergmann, George Ernst. Born 10 November 1800 at Schirradorf, Bavaria. Son of Johann and Brigitta Schwarz Bergmann. Married Kunigunda Margaretha Bergmann, daughter of Johann and Katherina Pirner Bergmann, at Wonsees, Bavaria 17 January 1826. Known as "Creek George". Many of the earliest Lutheran services were held in his home before a log cabin church was built. Was on the Friedenberg Membership list 1862 - 1863 and in the record book of 1881. In 1870 he was living with Albert and Margaret Fassold, his son-in-law and daughter. Died 26 Jul 1884. Buried in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Friedenberg, Missouri, (Stone is gone)
