VERONA - Brenda Ruth (Foster) Jordan, age 90, of Verona, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on Nov. 14, 1927, in Wallasey, Cheshire, UK, daughter of Henry Joseph and Ruth (Cullis) Foster.

Brenda loved farming and she graduated from Leahurst, Liverpool with a degree in husbandry. It was at Leahurst where she met her future husband, William Johnston Jordan. Brenda and William were married on Feb. 2, 1950, in Wallasey, Cheshire, UK.

Brenda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved gardening, cooking, family and traveling. Brenda and William made their home in Chester, UK where she ran the office for the veterinary practice that William built. She was fortunate to have been able to travel all over the world with William. They lived in Persia for 6 years and South Africa for 2 years, traveling to many countries in between.

Brenda and William emigrated to the USA in 2006, to be near their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she was the happiest when surrounded by her family. We all will miss her infectious laugh and tremendous sense of humor. She was a free spirit, and she loved to share her passion for life through the many dinner parties she hosted for her friends and family.

Brenda is survived by her husband, William Johnston Jordan; three children, daughter, Sheena Anne (Donald) Bliss of Verona and their four children, Sheena-Marie (Patrick) Kelter, of Verona and their two children, Emory and Elsie; Jonathan "JJ" (Kelly) Bliss of Naperville Ill., and their two children CJ and Will; Jordan Bliss (partner AJ) of Conway, SC, and their son, Landyn; and Katie (Casey) Koenig of Mt. Horeb; her son, Richard William Jordan of Verona and his two children Cole and Casey; and her son, Christopher Johnston (Leslie) Jordan of Waunakee and their two children Hannah and Morgan; her brother, Eric Foster of Wallasey, UK; and mother of Cole and Casey Jordan, Sherry Jordan, of Madison.
