Harry Ray Bailey Sr., 96 of Liverpool, passed away Saturday February 15, 2014. He was one of 16 children born in McBride, Michigan but lived most of his life in Liverpool. He graduated from Western Michigan University before beginning a professional baseball career which was cut short by WW II. Harry retired from Davis Ulmer Sprinkler Company as Vice president. He also served for several years on the North Syracuse Central School District Board of Education. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret in 2009 and their son, Alan in 2007.
Surviving are his children, Harry R. Bailey Jr. (Christine), Carolyn Gross (Larry), Peggy Nels (James), Steven Bailey, Debbie Voorhees (Kevin) and Mark Bailey (Brenda); 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are private. There will be no calling hours.
