Larry Lloyd Towell, age 47, of Manila, passed from this life Saturday, September 29, 2018 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Pasadena, Texas, Larry was a lifelong Manila resident and attended Manila High School. He was the owner/operator of Towell and Son Auto Sales specializing in inventory procurement and customer service. He had also worked several years in law enforcement, having served on the Manila Police Department, the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department in addition to 20 years of service with the Manila Volunteer Fire Department. Before settling into the family business Larry had operated Towell Insurance agency and Towell Outdoor Media providing video service for ESPN. He was passionate about his family and the family business, and had a love for vintage and classic automobiles. Larry was an aviation enthusiast, and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, skeet shooting, and collecting and playing guitars. He was a member of the Leachville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Duffey Bollinger Towell of the home.
