David A. Rudolph, age 79, of rural Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on February 27, 1939 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Arthur and Evelyn (Long) Rudolph.

David married Nancy Rogers in 1958 and they spent 60 wonderful years together.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; one son, Dwayne Rudolph (Kathryn); two granddaughters, Angela Gray (Jason), Danyelle (Aaron) Orf; seven great grandchildren, Abby, Gabby, Maddie, Alice, Kenny, Erin, Sammie; four brothers, William, Thomas, Ronald and Daniel; five sisters, Barbara, Mildred, Judith, Linda and Terry; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was a Naval Seabee and a life member of the Seabee Veterans of America. David was employed for 23 years at Fiat Allis and 13 years at DNR.

David was a member of the Athens Christian Church.

His passion was woodworking.

Visitation for David will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 8-10 AM at the Athens Christian Church. Services to follow immediately at 10 AM at the church. Rev. Ken Gennicks will be officiating. Burial will be held at Camp Butler Cemetery in Springfield, IL at 2 PM.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
