Ralph Levere Myers, 86, beloved husband of Emily (Spangler) Myers, passed away at York Hospital, Saturday, September 29, 2018. Ralph and Emily were united in Holy Matrimony on Sunday, March 4, 1973.

Ralph was born in Wrightsville on June 3, 1932, he was the son of the late Guy H. and Caroline (Blessing) Myers. He was preceded in death by his brother Gordon Rodney Myers, his sisters Evelyn Myers McCune and Roma Myers Walther and his nephew Daniel Myers Walther. He is survived by his brothers-in-law Richard R. McCune and Frank H. Walther, his nephews Frank Reid Walther, Dr. Thomas Robert Walther and wife Margaret "Peggy" and Gordon Richard McCune and family, his niece Carolyn Myers Muller and his grand-nephews Henry Reid Walther and Jacob Patrick Walther along with numerous cousins and friends. He is also survived by his wife Emily's loving family.

Ralph was a graduate of Wrightsville High School and Thompson Business School, and was a member and secretary of the Wrightsville High School Alumni Association. He was a 20-year Veteran of the US Marine Corps. As a Gunnery Sergeant (E7) in the Marines, he served as a drill instructor. His military affiliations included the East Coast Drill Instructors Association, the Marine Corps League - First Capital Detachment #521, the Shiloh American Legion Post #791, the Wrightsville American Legion Post #469 and the VFW - National Post.

Ralph was employed by Weis Market for 37 years. The majority of that time, he was the Store Manager of Weis #5 on Haines Road, retiring in 1992. He was well known for his helpful service to both customers and employees.

Ralph was a life member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Wrightsville. He served on the church council, numerous committees, and was a Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the Riverside Lodge #503 F&AM and the Harrisburg Consistory. He was also a longtime member of the Wrightsville Historical Society.

Ralph was known for his personality, integrity and compassion. These honorable attributes led him to serving for 20 years as a White Rose Hospice volunteer. Ralph and Emily dedicated their lives to helping others, working hand-in-hand. Ralph was an avid reader of non-fiction books and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and pet sitting for neighbors. He will be greatly missed by the many whose lives he touched.

A funeral service to celebrate Ralph's life will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00am from Trinity Lutheran Church, 243 Hellam Street, Wrightsville (parking is in the rear of church) with the Reverend Timothy W. Sadler officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 to 10:45am, with Masonic Services at 10:45am.
