Bonnie Voegele, 79, of Newkirk, Okla., died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, in Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Newkirk. Burial will follow in the Newkirk Cemetery under the direction of Miller-Stahl Funeral Service.
Bonnie was born Aug. 8, 1939, in Three Sands, Okla., the daughter of Eugene and Florence Smith. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and taught school.
Bonnie married Jimmy Voegele on May 29, 1970, in Newkirk. They farmed in the Newkirk area. Her husband died on July 6, 2011.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Voegele Jr. of Edmond, Okla.; five siblings, Roberta Warner, of Billings, Okla., Earnest Smith, of Fritch, Texas, Sharon James, of Catoosa, Okla., Barbara Haskins, of Amarillo, Texas, and Eugenia Lunsford, of Colorado Springs; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
