Bill J. Lawrence, 62, of Gosport, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at IU Bloomington Health Hospital.
Bill was born on January 31, 1956, in Bloomington, IN, to the late Wayne and Clarice (Walls) Lawrence. He graduated from North High School in Bloomington in 1974. Bill married the love of his life, Shawn Bennett, on February 2, 1979. They spent 39 years together and had two children. Bill was a mechanic for 25 years and went on to start his own business, Lawrence Concrete Service, in 1993. He loved to fish and ride his Harley almost as much as he loved spending time with his family and friends. Bill was a loving father and grandfather with a heart of gold. He will be deeply missed.
Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years, Shawn Lawrence; children, Miranda Lawrence and Ryan Lawrence; brothers, Larry (Ladonna) Lawrence, Randy Lawrence, and Ricky Lawrence; grandchildren, Avery Lawrence and Tylar Merida.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
