Mabel E. Arntsen, 93, of Paddock Lake, died Thursday, May 10, 2007, at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha. She was born on June 30, 1913, in Osceola, Wis., the daughter of the late Otto and Mamie Sampe. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha. On July 17, 1935, in Kenosha, she married Oscar Arntsen. She was a self-employed maid, and prior to that a car hop at the Spot Drive In. She attended the Zion Lutheran Church in Bristol, and was a member of the United Methodist Church. Her hobbies were reading and being outdoors, and she volunteered for Kenosha Hospital for 20 years, and many other activities and clubs. She dedicated herself to her family. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (John) Wozniczka of Paddock Lake; one sister, Eleanor Bellaver of Kenosha; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar on Nov. 5, 1998; two sisters, Irma Topper and Florence Smith; three brothers, Ernie, Al and Frederick Sampe. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 14, 2007, at 10 a.m. from Kenosha Funeral Services. Visitation from 9-10 a.m. Private burial Green Ridge Cemetery.
