-Bohumil "Ted" J. Uhlik, Jr., 86 of Malmo, NE entered into eternal rest Monday, October 1, 2018, surrounded by family at Saunders Medical Center in Wahoo, NE. Ted was born on November 29, 1931 in Dodge County to Bohumil "Ted" Sr., and Lillian (Tresnak) Uhlik. He graduated from St. Wenceslaus Grade School in Dodge, NE in 1944 and Scribner High school in 1950. He was united in marriage to Lorraine Ortmeier on November 25, 1961 at St. Charles Church in West Point, NE. He farmed in the Scribner area until 1962. He then trained and became certified in data processing. He worked in the computer industry in Nebraska and Iowa from 1962 – 1989. He owned and operated a hatchery at his farm in Malmo, NE from 1989 – 1995. He and his wife did several farmers' markets in the Lincoln area from 1990- 2015. He served in the Army Reserve in the 89th Division Artillery, Battery C from 1951 to 1959. He was a member of the South Omaha Sokol Club, Catholic Workman of the Dodge, NE branch, a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and Men's Club in Weston, NE. Ted was an avid baseball player in the Dodge County League for 10 years. He coached his son's Little League baseball team in Gering, NE for 4 years.

Ted enjoyed farming, family gatherings, and watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in their activities. He loved to dance and listen to Polka music.

He is survived by his wife, Lorranie (Ortmeier) Uhlik of Malmo;children, Linda (Lyle) Maly of Weston, Dave Uhlik of Malmo, and Darlene (John) Kolterman of Colon; grandchildren, Trevor (Kary Stanek) Maly, Noah, Sam, Grant, and Sarah Kolterman, and great-grandchildren, Miles and Waylon Maly.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Lillian (Tresnak) Uhlik; sister, Eleanor Gladowski; and brothers-in-law, Milo Gladowski and Grady Cooley.
