Marguerite Louraine McClellan was born 13 September 1857 in Laurens County, South Carolina, the daughter of John & Susan McClellan. She was married to William Davenport Kirby (1857-1929) around 1877 in Greenville County, SC. They had several children. She died on 23 January 1921 in Anderson, SC at the age of 63. She was interred at Silver Brook Cemetery.
