Arthur “Richard” Carter, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. A resident of Gonzales, LA and native of Kentwood, LA. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum and the Louisiana Sportsman Magazine. He was co-owner, with his wife, Flo, of Baton Rouge Courier Service. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until service at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Garlin Mizell. Burial at Oak Lane Memorial Park, Prairieville, LA. Survived by his wife, Florence “Flo” Carter; daughter, Holly Lejune; niece, Debbie McDonald; two great nieces, Monica Dalal and Breanna Dalal; six sons, Keith Carter and wife, Monica, Alan Carter and wife, Lisa, Steven Todd Carter and wife, Chrissy, Kenny Carter and wife, Rhonda, James Carter and wife, Courtney, and Christopher Carter; two brothers, Roland Carter and Billy Carter; eighteen grandchildren, Justin Carter and companion, Carrie Hill, Tiffani Carter and companion, Ty Renfroe, Hunter Carter, Savannah Carter, Ashley Clark and husband, Darryl, Peyton Urbach, Austin Reavis, Josiah Carter, Nicole Brenda Ollerenshaw, Renee Ngaio Ollerenshaw, Katie Marie Ollerenshaw, Sarah Jessica Ollerenshaw, Alice Rose Ollerenshaw, Ben William Ollerenshaw, Cassidy Carter, Caylee Carter, Emma Key, and April Key; and seven great grandchildren, Landyn Carter, Korbyn Carter, Blaise Carter, Scarlett Carter, Avery Carter, Ashton Bellingham, and Chloe Bellingham.
