Frances Marguerite Barnhill Suttle , a true Southern Belle indeed, was a beautiful lady of quick wit, with an infectious smile and a strong deep faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ.

She departed this earthly world on September 30, 2018 surrounded by her three children. Her celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Bell Cypert Seale Chapel with Kevin Phillips, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 PM at the Eastview Cemetery in Vernon, Texas. Family visitation will be Wednesday evening 6:00 to 7:00.

Frances portrayed the graceful essence of class and charm. Known for her superb talent in the art of sewing, Frances displayed the creative genius of coordinating the exact patterns and colors to sew her children’s entire wardrobes throughout their school days in Snyder ISD. She continued to volunteer her talent to make numerous quilts for the Scurry County Senior Citizen’s May Day event.

Frances was born in Olney, Texas on February 10, 1927 to Marvin and Gencie Ruth Hewitt Barnhill. She was the sixth child of seven brothers and sisters. She grew up in Vernon, Texas and met Walter Marshall Suttle at the local swimming pool. They married on July 10, 1947.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, M. E. Barnhill and Aaron Barnhill, and three sisters, Jamie Barnhill, Mary Helen Barnhill, and Arelia Faye Johnson.

Her surviving children are Walter Tony Suttle of Ruidoso, Marsha and, husband, Don Kubena of Hermleigh, and Christy Suttle of Snyder. Maw Maw Girlfriends grandchildren are Christopher and wife, Angela Suttle and Tyeson Suttle of Ruidoso, Alicia Kubena of Hermleigh, Brooke Coffman of Frisco, Jerome and wife, Melissa Pratt and Jenny Pratt of Amarillo.

She is, also, survived by eleven great grandchildren. They are Kaden, Ryland, Weslee Suttle and Stone Suttle of Ruidoso, Hayden and Evan Coffman of Frisco, and Addison and Sophie Pratt of Amarillo, Sydnee, Khloe, and Hallee Pratt of Amarillo. She is survived by her sister, Sheila and husband, Dan White of Vernon, Texas and sister in law, Marge Barnhill of Abilene and numerous beloved nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
