David Copeland, 56, Colorado City, passed away at his home on Tuesday October 2, 2018.

He was born on August 2, 1962 in Crosbyton Texas to Tommy and Guyerene Vaughan Copeland. David was a kind hearted man who loved his family with all his heart. He loved being outdoors, whether it was while he was enjoying his favorite pass-time of fishing or out working on the farm. He enjoyed a simple life, caring for family and making sure that they had everything that they needed. His passion for caring for family and working on the farm were huge driving factors in coming back from West Nile Virus. His kind heart and gentle smile will be missed by those that loved him.

He is survived by his father Tommy Joe Copeland of Colorado City, by his sister Samantha Horton and husband Jimmy of Big Spring, and by his nephew Timothy Horton and his girlfriend Jennifer Hernandez also of Big Spring.

He was preceded in death by his mother Guyerene Copeland; and his grandparents, B.J. and Ruth Copeland; and Guy and Mody Vaughan.

A funeral for David will be held on Friday, October 5th at 2 pm in the Colorado City Cemetery with Pastor James Williams of New Life Bible Ministeries officiating. The family will receive friends at Kiker Seale Funeral Home Friday morning from 10-12 prior to the service.
