Matthew Rodney Irvin, 4 months old infant son of Jacob G. Irvin and Stephanie L. Weihl, passed away at 7:45 a.m., Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Matthew was born April 3, 2018 at Carbondale, IL. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his parents, of Du Quoin; siblings, Donavin Weihl, Nikkie Wininger, Corey Irvin, Ethan Galliher, all of Du Quoin, Jared Wininger, Jr. of Elkville and Julie Ann Nathen of Pennsylvania; paternal grandmother, Robin Hershey of Du Quoin; maternal grandmother, Rhonda Mueller of Coulterville; maternal great-grandparents, Omah Jebron and husband, Bud, and Richard Mueller, all of Coulterville; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and maternal grandfather.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
