Paul R. Blackburn, 77 of Odell, passed away October 1, 2018 at OSF St. James in Pontiac, IL.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Hager Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
Paul was born on October 31, 1940 in Emington, Illinois, the son of Daniel and Regina (Gassman) Blackburn . He married Sherry Lynn Blackburn on February 9,1966 in Pontiac. She passed away October 5, 2016.
He is survived by a daughter, Vicki Blackburn of Odell; sister, Joyce Blackburn of Dwight; brothers in law, Richard (Marsha) Weber of Florida, Ralph (Ann) Weber of Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and 2 grandchildren.
He worked as a cook at the Fox Center over the years and also worked for Heritage Manor for more than 20 years.
He will be remembered for his love of nature and all animals, as well as his great cooking.
Memorials in Paul’s honor may be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association
