James Wilford Plunkett, age 94 of Lyles, TN died on September 29, 2018.

Mr. Plunkett was born on September 28, 1924 in Vernon, TN. He was a son of the late James and Tennie Harrington Plunkett. James loved his family. He was a retired construction worker and had worked hard his entire life. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lydie Mae Plunkett; son, Robert Plunkett; daughters, Mary Francis Plunkett, and Betty Jo Gordon; brother, Elgie Plunkett; half-brother, Dennis Rogers; sister, Madie Tidwell.

He is survived by his sons, Charles Plunkett, and Roy Plunkett (Evelyn); his daughters, Barbara Tidwell (Larry) of Lyles, Audrey Pendergrass (Terry) of Chapmansboro, Peggy Terlecki (Larry) of Lyles, and Dorothy Osborne (Keith) of Bon Aqua; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at the Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Lyles Cemetery.
