Robert Price, 62, of 2027 38th Street, Two Rivers, died Wednesday morning,
April 1, 1987 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday at
Berean Baptist Church, 2101 Johnston Drive, Manitowoc. Rev. Kenneth Eisentrager
will officiate with burial to follow at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Military graveside rites will be accorded by American Legion Post No. 165 and
VFW Post 1248 of Two Rivers.
Mr. Price was born April 21, 1924 at Bostic, North Carolina, son of the late
Horace C. and Nona C. Carpenter Price. Mr. Price entered the Navy Military
Service from 1943 until 1946. In 1947 Mr. Price entered the United States Army
until retiring in 1965. He attained the rank of Sergeant in Combat Engineering
serving in World War II in the South Pacific and 2 years in the Korean War. Mr.
Price was employed at Manitowoc Engineering from 1965 until his retirement in
1986. He married the former Edith U. Wopp on August 25, 1945 at Manitowoc. Mr.
Price was an avid reader and enjoyed his family.
Survivors include his wife, Edith; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Steven J.
Price of Manitowoc, Robert N. Price of Alameda, California, Dennis P. and Kay
Price of Mulberry, Florida and Ronald J. and Vicky Price of Louisburg, Missouri;
a daughter, Virginia L. Warriner of Beloit, Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren; nieces,
nephews and other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by a
brother, Horace Price.
Friends may call at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home from 4 pm
to 8 pm Friday and Saturday at the church from 10 am until the hour of service.
