A Graveside Service was held on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 3:00 pm at Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette for Linda Ann J. Ortiz, 81, who passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018, at her home in Lafayette.

Chaplain Paul Broussard of NSI Hospice in Lafayette and Former Missionary Tom Delaune in New Orleans, officiated.

Linda was born January 12, 1937, in Fort Worth, TX and was a resident of Acadiana. She was a member of the National Genealogical Society and studied Greek. Linda worked for years as a Christian missionary and dedicated her life to sharing the good news of Christ. Her missionary travels extended to Central America, South America and Europe.

Linda was survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, Manuel Ortiz of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Florence Womack Jumonville.

The family wished to thank NSI Hospice for the compassionate care given to Linda and her family.
