Martin Cleon Davis, age 77, of Friday, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 in Conroe. Martin was born July 3, 1941 in Houston County to parents, Cleon F. Davis and Katherine Martin Davis. He worked for Houston Independent School District for 35 years and was a 50 year member of the Reagan Masonic Lodge. Martin was a member of the Piney Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Martin is survived by wife, Alice Davis of Friday; son, Alan Davis of Pennington; step-daughter, Gina Soundy and longtime friend, Thomas Myers of The Woodlands; stepson, Randall Mason Dobbs and wife, Becky of NSW, Australia; numerous grandchildren; brothers, David Davis and wife, Billy of Kennard, Donald Davis and wife, Jeanne of Kennard, Jack Vest and wife, Shay of Prairie Lee; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by father, Cleon Davis; sister, Frances Davis; brother, Jimmy Davis.
Funeral services for Martin Cleon Davis will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Hill Cemetery with Rev. Linley Ham officiating.
Family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
