Jerry Lee Sims, 40, of Fort Smith passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, in his home.
He was born April 25, 1978, in Fort Smith to Mitchell and Vicki (Curd) Sims.
He was an honor graduate of Southside High School. He was a lover of cats, especially big cats. Jerry was a former manager of Pizza Parlor on Rogers Avenue and current salesperson for Harris Siding. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Darla of Fort Smith; his mother, Vicki Graves and her husband Alvin of Barling; a sister, Rachel Cometseveh of Sallisaw; his maternal grandmother, Syble Curd of Fort Smith; a halfbrother, Ross Stern of Manhattan, N.Y.; a halfsister, Carmen Sims of Fort Smith; two aunts, Teresa Stewart of Bentonville and Terri McFarland of Fort Smith; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Stewart officiating.
Pallbearers will be Terry Wright, John Flurry, Tim and Jamie Nguyen, Matt West and Brandon Luckenbaugh.
