Mrs. Marla Faye Thompson, age 72, of Hazel, Kentucky, died on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at her home.
Mrs. Thompson was born on June 10, 1946 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late W.D. Lassiter and Faye Raspberry Lassiter. She worked as a Bank Teller for the Security Bank in Paris, Tennessee. She was also a member of the Hazel Church of Christ and the Hazel Women's Club.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one sister, Verla D. Robinson.
Survivors include her husband, Joe D. Thompson, they were married on December 6, 1963 in Hazel, Kentucky; two daughters, Denise Thompson Provine of Hazel, Kentucky and Holly DeAnn Thompson of Hazel, Kentucky; two brothers, David Holland Lassiter and wife Cheryl of Buchanan, Tennessee and Randy Dale Lassiter and wife Susan of Hazel, Kentucky; one grandchild, Macy Joe Lamer of Hazel, Kentucky; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Hazel Church of Christ with Mackie Gallimore and John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Hazel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
