Mr. James Robert Tisdale passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at his home. He was born January 25, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan a son of Marvin E. and Mary Frances (nee: Hyde) Tisdale. For the past 20 years Jim has made his home in Atlanta, Michigan. He was a graduate of Lawrence Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. His working career was diversified, having worked for Westinghouse Electric Corp., Fife Electric Company, Square D Electric Co., Snap-On Tool Business and recently as a Contract Engineer for Daifuku-Webb in the Conveyor Industry.
Jim enjoyed various outdoor activities. He was a golfer, skier and fisherman. True enjoyment came from riding his Harley and snowmobile. He had a big heart for people, especially his friends and family, and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. Jim was known for being very bright and could remember anything.
Jim leaves behind his loving father; Marvin E. Tisdale. Dear brother of Marvin E. (Diana) Tisdale, Jr. Fond uncle of Nicholas Tisdale and Alexandra Tisdale. He is preceded in death by his mother Mary “Fran” Tisdale.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Farmington, 26165 Farmington Rd., Farmington Hills, MI 48334. Burial will be at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Institute at Ascension Providence Hospital, Southfield, mailing to Ascension St. John and Providence Foundations, 19251 Mack Ave., #102, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236-2881, in lieu of flowers.
