Woonsocket - Sheila M. Austin, 69, of Blackstone St., died, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in RI Hospital with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Ernest Austin.
Born in Boston, MA daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Suttles) Smith.
Sheila worked as a supervisor for University Health Services at UMASS Boston for 27 years. She obtained a Masters degree in Health and Human Services. She enjoyed gardening, yoga, and traveling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Monique Austin of Woonsocket, RI. One brother, Alvin Smith of Randolph, MA. Two sister, Linda Blanton of Boston and Gloria Jones of Brookline, MA. And several nieces and nephews and a host of extended relatives.
Her Funeral will be held in St. James Baptist Church, 340 S. Main St., Woonsocket, RI.
Burial will follow at The National Cemetery in Bourne MA.
